The Role of Women in Seed Storage
We organized Online meeting on “The Role of Women in Seed Storage” in which around 25 women participated from five states and share the knowledge about the traditional way of seed storage and we found that seed storage is done by only women, men don’t show interest in seed storage structure. “Duli” in West Bengal or “Pual” in Bihar made by only women, men were support for shifting the seed structure. Traditional Knowledge for making the seed structure already have been lost, some old women have this knowledge.
Needs and Vulnerability Assessments workshop
The Needs and Vulnerability Assessments workshop has been organized in Jharkhand in collaboration with scientists from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, progressive farmers from the region, and some other CSOs. All project partners and field animators participated and were given hands on training on to protect soil fertility, water conversation, farm boundary management.
